Neil deGrasse Tyson Goes Apocalyptic Over Trump Budget

   DailyWire.com

Astrophysicist and Cosmos host Neil deGrasse Tyson went on a Twitter rampage this week about Donald Trump’s budget, which he warns is going to make America “weak,” “sick” and “stupid” again(?) — and, of course, “melt glaciers & flood the World’s coastal cities”!

In over a dozen tweets, and counting, Tyson denounced Trump’s plan to cut a little over $50 billion (a drop in the bucket) from some programs that include the arts and sciences as bound to destroy all that’s good and holy (or whatever the agnostic version of that word is, at least).

“The fastest way to Make America Weak Again: Cut science funds to our agencies that support it,” he tweeted Sunday. “The fastest way to Make America Sick Again: Cut funding to the National Institutes of Health,” he added. “The fastest way to Make America Stupid: Cut funds to programs that support education,” he declared, this time leaving out “again” for reasons only an astrophysicist is smart enough to comprehend. “The fastest way to thwart Earth’s life-support systems for us all: Turn EPA into EDA — the Environmental Destruction Agency,” he explained.

Then he got to Global Warming: “The fastest way to melt glaciers & flood the World’s coastal cities: Ignore scientists and do nothing to stem the rise of CO2,” he warned.

But he wasn’t done. After tweeting “We can all imagine a land that provides no support for Art. But is that a place you’d want to Live? To Visit? To Play,” he decried those living in their own bubble of “delusions”:

“The very best way to support and feed your delusions: Surround yourself with people whose world views match yours exactly,” he wrote.

“We all want to Make America Great Again. But that won’t happen until we first Make America Smart Again,” he concluded, at least for awhile; then he started ranting again about the about how little the NEA and NEH cost us, at least relatively speaking.

Hilariously, CNN, who tried to act like Tyson’s rant was actually important, reached out to the White House for an official response to Tyson’s over the top pronouncements but apparently didn’t get anything.
