Multiple Shooters Rampage Cincinnati Nightclub: 1 Dead, 15 Injured.

Early Sunday morning, multiple unidentified shooters opened fire at a popular nightclub in Cincinnati, Ohio, killing one and injuring 15 others. The shooters are still at-large.

Club Cameo employs off-duty police officers to patrol the parking lot, reports Fox News, citing Cincinnati Police Chief Eliot Isaac. Club-goers entering the club are patted down and wanded by trained security guards. Nonetheless, the gunmen were able to evade security safeguards.

“Several firearms were able to be brought inside the bar,” said Isaac.

At a press conference on Sunday, Isaac described the incident as “some type of dispute” that “escalated into shots being fired from several individuals.”

“As a result there were 16 people that sustained gunshot injuries, one of which is deceased,” he explained. “A total of 15 others … were injured, one in extremely critical condition.”

Several club-goers were also injured trying to leave the scene as gunshots went off. Saturday night’s crowd was on the younger-side, according to witnesses.

The victim that sustained the fatal gunshot wounds has been identified as 27-year-old Obryan Spikes.

Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley issued a statement consoling his city in the hours after the tragedy.

“I’m confident that while our hearts are broken, that our spirit is not,” he said in part.

Following the mayor’s remarks, Ohio Governor John Kasich offered state assistance to the city.

Police do not believe the incident was terror-related. Homicide investigators are still looking for a motive.
