Mika Lands Big Book Deal After ‘Facelift’ Feud With Trump

   DailyWire.com

The ugly public feud between President Donald Trump and his former quasi-allies Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski has been followed by yet more good news for MSNBC’s power couple. The day after Trump tweeted about Mika’s supposedly bloody New Years’ “facelift,” the MSNBC morning show racked up its biggest ratings ever. Now, just over a week later, Brzezinski has landed a lucrative three-book deal — though sources insist that the Trump fight had nothing to do with it.

According to Page Six, Brzezinski has officially nailed down a new multi-book deal with the publishing company owned by leftwing entertainment bigwigs Harvey and Bob Weinstein, Weinstein Books — the same imprint that published her 2011 book, Knowing Your Value: Women, Money, and Getting What You’re Worth.

Sources told Page Six that the contract is worth somewhere “in the high six figures.”

Among the three books will be a revised version of Knowing Your Value, which Page Six‘s sources said will include new interviews from high-powered females that will focus on “getting recognition in the business space and in personal relationships.” Brzezinski will be promoting the book during her 2018 “Know Your Value” conference series.

“We’re told that Brzezinski plans to follow up with two more books in fall 2018, one titled ‘Comeback Careers’ and a currently untitled book for millennials entering the job market,” Page Six adds.

Though the timing of the announcement of the book deal suggests that the headline-grabbing spat between Mika and Trump played a role, a source insisted that the Trump incident “did not have any effect on the deal itself or the subject matter for the books.”

The Trump-Mika “facelift” feud all started with Trump taking shots at both Brzezinski and Scarborough on Twitter one morning.

“I heard poorly rated @Morning_Joe speaks badly of me (don’t watch anymore),” wrote Trump. “Then how come low I.Q. Crazy Mika, along with Psycho Joe, came…to Mar-a-Lago 3 nights in a row around New Year’s Eve, and insisted on joining me. She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no!”

The mainstream media of course went bonkers over the brutal, unpresidential tweet, with “Psycho Joe” and “Crazy Mika” adding to the firestorm by accusing Trump of effectively trying to blackmail them into positive coverage through some unflattering National Enquirer article.

On the day after Trump’s tweet, Mika and Joe enjoyed a Nielsen’s rating of 1.66 million viewers, their largest ever. In other words, the formula continues to hold: Trump = Ratings.
