Left-wing filmmaker Michael Moore sees the writing on the wall and it spells “TRUMP 2020.” After Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s disastrous testimony on Wednesday morning, in which he repeatedly asked people to repeat questions about his own report, Moore told Democrats to “STFU” regarding the investigation into Trump/Russia collusion.
“A frail old man, unable to remember things, stumbling, refusing to answer basic questions,” Moore tweeted on Wednesday. “I said it in 2017 and Mueller confirmed it today — All you pundits and moderates and lame Dems who told the public to put their faith in the esteemed Robert Mueller — just STFU from now on.”
As already noted by The Daily Wire’s Amanda Prestigiacomo, Mueller’s performance before the House Judiciary Committee sucked all the life right out of the Democrats’ ongoing push to impeach President Trump prior to the 2020 election, a testimony in which Mueller often looked confused and ignorant of the situation.
“This has been a disaster for the Democrats, and I think it’s been a disaster for the reputation of Robert Mueller,” said Chris Wallace of Fox News. “He has been attacked a number of times and you would think that almost anybody else would have defended his own integrity and the integrity of the investigation, and over and over Mueller just sits silent and allows the attacks from the Republicans to sweep over him and says nothing. I think it does raise questions about the degree to which he actually was in charge and in control of this report because he doesn’t seem very much in control or in charge of what the final report was.”
In a later tweet, Michael Moore said that Trump has all the reason to celebrate in the wake of Mueller’s testimony, and it could very well assure him re-election in 2020.
“Trump must be gloating in ecstasy. Not because of the failure that is Robert Mueller — his Report is still a damning document of crimes by Trump—but because Trump understands the power of the visual, and he understands that the Dems aren’t street fighters and that’s why he’ll win,” said Moore.
However, the “Bowling for Columbine” filmmaker didn’t feel completely hopeless. “C’mon, fellow Americans! Trump can be beaten,” he tweeted. “Just because he outwitted the DNC once- & is in the process of trying to do it again- doesn’t mean squat if we, the majority, rise up, get active & inspire a nation to make America the America we want it to be. We know how to do this!”
Moore has been urging Democrats throughout this year to cast aside all moderate positions and embrace the radical left agenda.
“If you’re being moderate, stop being moderate. Take a position,” Moore said in February on MSNBC. “There’s no middle ground anymore. There’s no halfway point to should somebody be paid a living wage. You know, on the issue of choice, there is no halfway there. You’re either for it or you’re against it. Do you believe in equal rights for women? Do you believe we should have an Equal Rights Amendment? There’s no middle ground. There’s no time for moderation.”
After the first Democratic Party presidential debates, during which all the candidates (minus Tulsi Gabbard) went far-left, Michael Moore declared the “old Dem Party is hopefully dead.”
“My headline: ‘Democratic Candidates Jostle to Out-Bernie Bernie at Miami Debate,'” Moore said on Twitter. “This was the first time in my life I’ve watched Democrats fight to be more progressive than the other Dems. The old Dem Party hopefully is dead & this one must appeal to youth, ppl of color & women.”
