Melissa Harris-Perry Doesn’t EXACTLY Blame Her Firing From MSNBC On Racism

   DailyWire.com

While not castigating her former employer as being animated by anti-black racism, neo-Marxist Melissa Harris-Perry worried about “racial implications” on MSNBC resulting from her departure from the left-wing network. Joining like-minded leftists on The View to discuss the creative and editorial differences leading up the severance of her contract with MSNBC, Harris-Perry characterized her decisions as prioritizing personal integrity.

Asked by living caricature Joy Behar is racial animosity was behind MSNBC’s conduct towards her, Harris-Perry answered in the negative.

“Is the implication that there’s some racism in there?” asked Behar about MSNBC’s decision.

“Did I think it was racialized? Not in the sense of like, ‘They’re coming after Melissa for being black.’ Do I think it has racial implications? 100%, and here’s how I know it. Our show had the most diverse guests on cable news. Period. It’s just an empirical reality. Taking this show off the air, even if you put me individually back on as a host, meant that the folks who sat at our table, whether they were transgender women of color, whether they were Latino Republicans. They just weren’t going to be there anymore,” replied Harris-Perry.

Unable to resist an examination of the event through the neo-Marxist lens of racial power disparities, Harris-Perry praised the superficial diversity of races, ethnicities, and sexual orientations of her guests. Ignored, however, was any semblance of ideological or political diversity.

Diversity of ideas does not rank high on the totem pole of leftist priorities.

Fellow racial agitator Sonny Hostin brought up concerns expressed by the National Association of Black Journalists related to the cancellation of Harris-Perry’s show, on the grounds of the former MSNBC host’s skin color.

Taken at face value, Harris-Perry’s recollection of events serves as a cautionary tale with broad applicability. Given the power dynamics of many employer-employee relationships, it is not uncommon for employees to be out of the loop with respect to managerial decisions impacting their jobs.
