A man drove his pickup truck “repeatedly” into the KDFW FOX 4 studios in Dallas early Monday morning.
FOX 4 reports that the man repeatedly drove into a side of the building with floor-to-ceiling windows. He was carrying leaflets and began ranting about “high treason” when he exited his vehicle, the outlet reports.
A Dallas police spokesperson said the man was “mostly rambling” and appeared to be upset about a shooting that involved a police officer elsewhere. He also reportedly left behind a suspicious bag that the bomb squad investigated using an explosive-sniffing dog and a bomb robot.
Most personnel inside the building were evacuated with the exception of a group who stayed to keep the station on-air.
FOX 4 reporter Shannon Murray tweeted about the incident, describing it as a “scary moment.”
Brandon Todd, another FOX 4 reporter, tweeted a photo of who he claims is the man who “smashed his truck into our station this morning.”
The suspect, Michael Chadwick Fry, has been arrested.
Police are cleaning up the hundreds of leaflets scattered outside the building.
The driver is expected to be charged with criminal mischief.
No injuries have been reported.
