Lemon: CNN ‘Sets The Standard For Integrity’

Last Tuesday, CNN’s Don Lemon described his employer as the pinnacle of journalistic integrity during a news segment ostensibly examining pervasive left-wing political bias in the news media.

“I have to say that, I work for this news organization and I think that it sets the standard for integrity,” said Lemon of his employer.

Corey Lewandowski, Donald Trump’s former campaign manager, had earlier spoken to prevalence of left-wing and Democrat political biases across the American landscape by citing emails leaked by Wikileaks indicating collusion between Hillary Clinton’s campaign and news outlets such as The New York Times and Politico.

Lemon also denied that his former CNN colleague and current Democratic National Committee Interim Chair Donna Brazile had provided questions to Clinton’s campaign in advance of CNN-hosted presidential debates.

“No. That’s not true. Nothing was leaked by one of our contributors to anyone. That is something that you would like to spin. That did not happen,” said Lemon to Scottie Nell Hughes.

“That’s not true,” continued Lemon. “The contributor, the person who leaked that email, if they did or not, does not work for this news organization. She did not leak that email,” asserted Lemon, refusing to specifically name Brazile.

Left-wing Democrat and racial agitator Angela Rye indignantly interjected to defend the as-of-yet unnamed Brazile, describing the DNC chair as a trailblazer for blacks and women.

“I’m gonna defend, we’re talking about Donna Brazile,” said Rye. “I’m gonna say her name. Were talking about Donna Brazile, someone who has blazed a trail for many of us and busted the doors wide open.”

Lemon again defended Brazile, specifically naming the interim DNC chair after Rye had done so.

“CNN does not provide Donna Brazile with anything,” said Lemon, chastising Hughes. “Donna Brazile is not in on any debate questions. You should read your facts, because they’re wrong, and that’s what I mean. You have an obligation when you work, because you do work for CNN, you’re being paid by CNN to tell the truth. That’s not the truth.”

Despite denials from both Lemon and Rye that Brazile had provided the Clinton campaign with advance knowledge of questions before CNN-hosted presidential debates, CNN terminated Brazile’s contributorship on Tuesday. CNN President Jeff Zucker described Brazile’s conduct as “disgusting” and “unethical.”

CNN presents itself as an objective and non-partisan news outlet as opposed to a left-wing Democrat get-out-the-vote operation.
