KLAVAN: Why Is The Press Praising The Raid On Roger Stone?

   DailyWire.com

The press is supposed to speak truth to power. They’re the ones that are supposed to be on the side of the people, so why are they praising a militaristic raid on a campaign advisor in his 60’s that poses no flight risk? Andrew Klavan examined this on Monday’s episode of “The Andrew Klavan Show.” Video below.

There’s our press defending a military-style raid on this old guy’s house and again. This is nothing about Roger Stone, nothing defending him or even saying whether he’s guilty or not — defending this militaristic raid on the basis of “Oh, we didn’t want him to destroy any documents.” Two guys, two armed agents could have walked in there and knocked on his door. And he says they were very polite once they got there, but still it’s absurd and it’s obscene. …

So, Russia hacks Hillary’s emails, which they didn’t even have to hack — they could have leaned over her shoulder and looked at her using her stupid phone before she bleached it to erase it all.

They hack it, they send it to Wikileaks — this is what the intelligence agencies say — and the Trump campaign is calling this clown Roger Stone to find out what’s in the Wikileaks emails, and he says he didn’t even know he was just trying to find out. So obviously the Trump campaign had no way of calling Putin, they didn’t know what the hell was going on! The entire indictment basically erases the purpose of the investigation. It’s a political hit against a guy who was not part of this elite global idea of where the power is going to be. …

The press is supposed to be against the power, the press is supposed to be against anyone who is abusing power but they’re not, and that’s what’s so dangerous about this particular moment.

But here’s the other thing, listen to Stephanopoulos describe the indictment itself:

Stephanopoulos: “Let’s get right to what may be the most explosive paragraph in the indictment, right there on page four, Mueller and his team write, ‘After the July 22, 2016 release of stolen DNC emails by Organization 1, that’s Wikileaks, a senior Trump campaign official was directed to contact Stone about any additional release and what other damaging information Organization 1 had regarding the Clinton Campaign. Stone thereafter told the Trump Campaign about potential future releases of damaging material by Organization 1. Stone also corresponded with associates about contacting Organization 1 in order to obtain additional emails damaging to the Clinton Campaign.’”

It’s basically saying the Trump campaign was stumbling blind. They were trying to use this information once it was out there to get at Hillary Clinton, and that’s perfectly fair rough and tumble politics, but the fact that they had to call Roger Stone shows you that they weren’t colluding with the Russians or they would have known what was in there! They would have gotten back channels to find out, and Mueller knows they didn’t know, Comey knows they didn’t know and they still have sent this out. It’s a political hit against a guy who was not part of this elite global idea of where the power is going to be.

There’s a million things wrong with Donald Trump, they can hit him but the reason that it took a guy like Trump to stop them is this is how powerful they are, they are the press, they are the federal investigators, they are the deep state, they are all of them basically saying “No, no – the power’s not with you anymore because you guys are MAGA hat wearing racists, the power is with us, we’ll take care of it, you can vote from time to time but it’s not going to mean very much because we’re all the same. None of us want border security, none of us want nations, we’re all the same so it doesn’t matter who you vote for”, and Donald Trump comes along and ruins that and they went after him – and the press is with the power! The press is supposed to be against the power, the press is supposed to be against anyone who is abusing power but they’re not, and that’s what’s so dangerous about this particular moment.
