Reality show superstar Kim Kardashian refused to take Jimmy Kimmel’s bait to bash President Trump on Monday. In fact, in her appearance on the late-night show, the icon said she had “nothing bad to say about the president.”
Just a few months ago, all hell broke loose when world-famous rapper Kanye West, husband of Kim, announced he felt a deep-spirited surge in “dragon energy” for President Trump. He refused to back down despite multiple attempts by entertainment elites to make him recant. Following that, Kim Kardashian successfully lobbied President Trump to pardon convicted felon Alice Marie Johnson, who had been serving a life sentence for drug trafficking. Not once did Kim Kardashian condemn her husband’s opinions throughout the controversy.
On her visit to the White House, Kim Kardashian said she felt “hopeful” about “good things” to come from her conversations with the president.
When Kimmel asked Kardashian about her husband’s support of President Trump, she expressed respect for his opinion without going too deep into the political situation.
“To make it clear, when Kanye —we would talk about it and would talk about policies, he doesn’t necessarily agree with his policies,” said Kimmel. “He likes his personality and how he made it to be president when everyone really underestimated him.”
“I have nothing bad to say about the president,” Kardashian responded. “You know, he’s done something amazing. I am very focused. I don’t agree with everything either. I had no idea what to expect going in there, and I was like, ‘Look, I’m going to be focused.’ It really turned my idea around in this category.”
