Kevin Spacey Investigated For Three New Sexual Assault Allegations

   DailyWire.com

The dramatic collapse of Kevin Spacey has apparently not yet reached its nadir. According to London’s Metropolitan Police, three new sexual assault allegations have been leveled against the actor, the investigations involving Spacey in London now reportedly totaling six.

According to TMZ, the Metropolitan Police say two men came forward in February to allege sexual assault against Spacey, one alleged incident took place in Lambeth in 2008 and the other in Gloucester in 2013. In April, a third man alleged that Spacey sexually assaulted him in Westminster in 1996. Investigations into the allegations are currently being conducted by officers from the Child Abuse and Sexual Offences Command, TMZ reports.

The accusations against Spacey began shortly after bombshell reports on Harvey Weinstein ignited the #MeToo movement. Unlike many of the #MeToo accused, Spacey’s alleged victims have been male. The first allegation against him was published by BuzzFeed, which interviewed actor Anthony Rapp, who accused Spacey of trying to force himself on him when Rapp was 14 years old and Spacey was 26. Here’s an excerpt from the original report:

In an interview with BuzzFeed News, Rapp is publicly alleging for the first time that in 1986, Spacey befriended Rapp while they both performed on Broadway shows, invited Rapp over to his apartment for a party, and, at the end of the night, picked Rapp up, placed him on his bed, and climbed on top of him, making a sexual advance. According to public records, Spacey was 26. Rapp was 14.

Spacey infamously responded in a vague statement in which he, for the first time publicly, announced that he was gay. For the response, Spacey earned the condemnation of GLAAD for attempting to “deflect” from the accusation by pivoting to his sexuality. Below is Spacey’s much-maligned response to Rapp’s accusation:

Rapp’s allegation was soon followed by several others, including the son of Richard Dreyfuss. “When I was an 18-year-old senior in high school, Kevin Spacey groped me,” Dreyfuss told BuzzFeed. “It was 2008, and he was directing my father, Richard Dreyfuss, in a play called Complicit at the Old Vic in London. I’d come to visit for Christmas Break. It happened one night when the three of us were alone in Kevin’s apartment rehearsing my father’s lines. My father didn’t see, and I didn’t tell him about the incident for many years.”

A series of allegations of incidents that allegedly occurred while Spacey was the artistic director of The Old Vic theater in London soon followed. In January, Scotland Yard opened an investigation into Spacey over an alleged 2005 sexual assault in Westminster. The Metropolitan Police were already investigating two other allegations when Scotland Yard first got involved, TMZ notes.

TMZ also cites “an active criminal investigation in Massachusetts involving a then 18-year-old male” and some other allegations being looked into by the L.A. County District Attorney.

Shortly after the first allegation was leveled against Spacey, Netflix canceled his hit series House of Cards.
