Karen Pence’s Christian School To Receive 100 Copies Of John Oliver’s Trolling ‘Gay Bunny Book’

Ever since the Left discovered that Karen Pence, wife of Vice President Mike Pence, works at a private Christian school that demands its students and staff live according to biblical morals on sexuality, they have been waving their fists in outrage that such a school exists.

Indeed, Karen Pence began teaching art this week at Immanuel Christian School, and since the 1st Amendment allows private religious organizations to practice whatever morality they happen to hold sacred, critics have resorted to throwing raging fits while trolling the living daylights out of their object of scorn.

According to HuffPo, Immanuel Christian School in Northern Virginia will be receiving 100 copies of John Oliver’s gay bunny book, “A Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo,” that was originally created to troll Charlotte Pence’s children’s book about the Pence family’s pet bunny Marlon Bundo.

“The Trevor Project, an LGBTQ advocacy organization, announced Thursday that it has sent Immanuel Christian 100 copies of ‘A Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo,’ a children’s book about a boy bunny who falls in love with another boy bunny,” reports HuffPo. “Included with the books is ‘a heartfelt note that encourages the school’s leaders to accept LGBTQ young people,’ the group said.”

Last year, Charlotte Pence, daughter of the vice president, published a children’s book about her family’s pet rabbit in an effort to raise money for sex trafficking victims — “Marlon Bundo’s A Day in the Life of the Vice President.” Comedian John Oliver then proceeded to meet Charlotte Pence’s kind charity with a mean-spirited troll by penning his own spoof on the book, “A Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo,” in which the Pence family pet was secretly gay. It was little more than a cheap shot at a book that had nothing to do with LGBTQ people and everything to do with raising money for charity.

The woke-scold mean-girls factory that is HuffPo was overjoyed to boast that “the queer version of the bunny book has sold much better.”

Keeping it classy, Charlotte Pence took the high road at the time by purchasing one of John Oliver’s books so that the proceeds can go to charity. “I have bought his book,” she said. “He’s giving proceeds of the book to charity, and we’re also giving proceeds of our book to charity, so I really think that we can all get behind it.”

“It doesn’t have to be divisive. I think that everybody can come together over Marlon.”

In the group’s statement, the Trevor Project quoted Luke Hartman, an openly gay man and an alumnus of Immanuel Christian school, who said that he is “a living example that intolerance, both in policy and rhetoric, are harmful to the mental wellness and development of LGBTQ students, who are desperately looking for ways to fit in.”

Hartman added that the “silent and spoken messages of rejection” felt by LGBTQ youth “directly impact the relationship they have with their faith, education, and relationships with family and friends.”
