Joe Biden is trying to pad his resume in anticipation of a potential 2020 presidential run, and he’s turning to none other than Lady Gaga to help him bolster his community service credentials.
The former vice president is teaming up with the Mother Monster, according to The Hill, to open a small chain of trauma centers designed to provide long-term physical and psychological treatment to victims of abuse. And despite how ridiculous it sounds, Biden swears it’s not a joke — though the co-branding might get tricky.
“We’ll set up trauma centers where women can go to get the long-term help they need to deal with these crises. We finally are recognizing the long-term impacts on the health of women and men who’ve been abused. It’s the next great frontier I want to be a part of,” Biden told a Glamour Magazine party Tuesday night.
Pressed for further information, Biden’s office told The Hill that the project is still in the planning stages and they don’t precisely know what a Biden-Gaga rehabilitation facility will look like — but they’re working on it.
It might sound like a strange partnership, but apparently Biden and Gaga have paired up before, also to take on the sudden wave of sexual harassment and sexual abuse allegations that have swept both Congress and the entertainment industry. The pair kicked off an anti-harassment project called “It’s On Us,” last month, and they even filmed a video.
