After releasing another dud that went straight to video and earned a 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, Jim Carrey has returned to his day job as an incendiary scold.
Carrey recently released a string of portraits that portrayed America as a hellscape owned by gun companies, and has — shockingly — now released yet another portrait that portrays America as a hellscape owned by gun companies. But this time he tackles the “Pledge of Allegiance” for a “generation betrayed.”
The painting depicts a bullet-ridden classroom with a new version of the “Pledge of Allegiance” written on the wall.
“I pledge allegiance to the flag, of the United States of America. And to the gun makers for whom it stands, one nation, under greed-indefensible,” reads the new pledge. “With butchery and injustice to the most innocent of all.”
And by referring to the “butchery and injustice” against “the most innocent of all,” Carrey did not mean the millions of unborn babies killed by Planned Parenthood, an organization he has yet to portray in one of his paintings.
Many of Carrey’s paintings tackle America’s gun violence, and consistently portray the NRA and Republicans as being directly responsible for deaths of children. Again, Carrey has yet to castigate the Democrats for their love-affair with Planned Parenthood.
