Last week, twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton shrugged off concerns regarding former Vice President Joe Biden’s apparent inappropriate touching of women and girls. “Get over it,” Mrs. Clinton told PEOPLE magazine during a joint-interview with daughter Chelsea, in which she also stressed the importance of removing President Donald Trump from office.

When PEOPLE raised questions about Biden’s suspect moments with females on the campaign trail, Hillary was quick to jump in, the magazine outlined.

“For goodness’ sake, I’m sorry, I have to jump in because I’ve heard a little bit about that,” Hillary said. “I mean, I don’t think that the Twitterverse is the American electorate, but there are lots of vocal voices that say all kinds of things.”

“[Biden] is a thoroughly decent human being who has served our country honorably and well for decades,” she continued. “You could take any person who sticks their little head above the parapet and says, ‘I’m going to run for president,’ and find something that … a little annoying habit or other kind of behavior that people are going to pick apart and disagree with.”

“This man (Trump) must be defeated. People who are putting themselves forward, which believe me, is a really difficult process to undergo, should be judged on the totality of their lives and their service,” Hillary said.

“We can pick apart anybody,” the former Secretary of State reiterated. “I mean, that’s a great spectator sport. But this man who’s there in the Oval Office right now poses a clear and present danger to the future of the United States. So get over it.”

Hillary emphasized, “Look at the candidates, look at what they’ve accomplished, look at what they have fought for — and vote for anybody to get rid of Donald Trump.”

For years, Biden has been widely criticized by both the Left and the Right for his overly-touchy interactions, partially with young girls and women. Left-wing darling Jon Stewart even ran a segment called “The Audacity Of Grope” in 2015 mocking such behavior from Biden.

In March, Biden was accused of sexual harassment by Democratic insider and former Nevada Democrat state Senator Lucy Flores.

“I felt him get closer to me from behind. He leaned further in and inhaled my hair. I was mortified,” Flores said, recalling Biden’s interaction with her at a 2014 political rally. “He proceeded to plant a big slow kiss on the back of my head. My brain couldn’t process what was happening. I was embarrassed. I was shocked. I was confused. … I wanted nothing more than to get Biden away from me.”

Moreover, in May, notably after Biden vowed to respect girls and women’s spaces, the presidential candidate took heat for his bizarre behavior with a 10-year-old girl attending a town hall event, The Daily Wire reported. “In a somewhat odd moment at tonight’s AFT town hall, Biden tells a 10-year-old girl, ‘I’ll bet you’re as bright as you are good-looking.’ He takes her over to the assembled reporters, then stands behind her and puts his hands on her shoulders while he’s talking,” wrote The Washington Post’s Felicia Sonmez.

For Hillary, the take on Biden is consistent with her inconsistency on the issue of #MeToo-era concerns. During her 2016 presidential campaign, Hillary attempted to thread the needle regarding accusations of harassment of sexual misconduct; when it comes to the many accusations against her husband, evidence and the accuser’s personal credibility is important. Simultaneously, all accusers must be “heard and believed.”
