Conservative filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza noticed something a little odd at the Democratic National Convention Monday. Apparently, the party felt that some of their members might need some help on a certain famous pledge…
And, of course, the organizers were probably right, as many on the left have likely deliberately blocked from their minds that patriarchal pledge to the sexistracistbigotedhomophobic American empire, which they blame for every bad thing that’s ever happened. So, yeah, putting the words to the pledge, though a little embarrassing, was better than the optics of a bunch of people mouthing “watermelon,” or worse.
One participant noted that many in attendance used the pledge as an opportunity to decry the injustice of America by screaming “with liberty and justice FOR ALL! FOR ALL!”
As for that “justice FOR ALL” theme: Hillary Clinton has made sure to load up the speakers’ list with people associated with America’s supposed rampant “injustice,” particularly when it comes to what President Obama and Clinton have repeatedly branded the “systemic racism” of the criminal justice system. Among the speakers are the mothers of Michael Brown, Trayvon Martin, Sandra Bland, and Eric Garner, all of whom have become rallying points for the Black Lives Matter movement, despite those involved in their deaths having been exonerated.
