HE SAID WHAT? Trump-Hating Joe Scarborough Slams ‘So-Called Journalists’ For Deeming Kavanaugh Guilty

Joe Scarborough, host of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” and a card-carrying Trump-hater, had some surprisingly sage things to say this week about the state of the witch hunt into the distant past of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

Two accusers have come forward to allege sexual improprieties some 35 years ago, but neither can offer any proof and one can’t remember when or where the alleged incident happened. The Senate Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing on Thursday in which Kavanaugh and at least one accuser will tell their stories — for the first time in public.

Yet plenty of Democrats — including some on the committee — have already declared that Kavanaugh is guilty, without hearing a word of sworn testimony from the accuser or, for that matter, Kavanaugh’s version of events.

But Scarborough, a former Republican congressman who is now an independent but espouses deeply liberal ideologies on his daily show, said Tuesday that some journalists are showing their left biases.

“We’ve been harshly critical of Fox News for being in the tank and being state television for Donald Trump —” he said.

“It’s both sides,” co-host Mika Brzezinski interrupted. “It’s everywhere. It’s mainstream. All across the board.”

Scarborough picked up: “Let me tell you something, what we’ve seen the last week has made me want to call networks and put a ‘D’ in front of the name of the so-called journalists that have already decided that Brett Kavanaughis a rapist.”

“It’s sick,” he said.

“It’s frustrating,” Brzezinski added.

Funny, but the process should be simple. And famous TV jurist Judge Judy Sheindlin spelled it out perfectly earlier this week.

“There’s always the hope that reasonable people will listen to both sides of an argument before they make a judgment. That’s what people are supposed to do. They’re not supposed to rush to judgment, they’re supposed to listen to the evidence and then make a judgment. And if that doesn’t happen, then the end result is not fair. Right?”

Right, Judge Judy.
