Harry Reid Just Praised George W. Bush. Here’s What Reid Has Said About Bush Previously.

Proving once again that the only Republican the Left likes is either a dead Republican or the last Republican to serve a particular position, former Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) is now praising President George W. Bush.

“In hindsight, I wish every day for a George Bush again,” Reid told CNN’s Dana Bash. He added that Bush was like “Babe Ruth” compared to President Donald Trump.

“He and I had our differences but no one ever questioned his patriotism,” Reid also said.

Here is what Reid said of Bush while the latter was still in office:

The man’s father is a wonderful human being. I think this guy is a loser.”

President Bush is a liar. He betrayed Nevada and he betrayed the country.”

CNN reports Reid previously called Bush the worst president of America ever.

Reid even insulted Bush’s dog, calling the pet “fat.”

The New York Times reported in 2007 that Reid referred to Bush as “this guy,” as in, “I am mystified, dumbfounded about how difficult it is to work with this guy.”

The Times went on to describe how Reid feels about Bush.

“In private conversations about Mr. Bush with friends and Senate colleagues, Mr. Reid has even used the word ‘hate,’ though he clarifies that it is political not personal hatred that he feels,” the Times reported.

In December 2007, Reid took to the senate floor to declare: “I fear that the Bush years will be known as a rare, even dark time.”

That was more than a decade ago. Now Bush is a saint compared to the current Republican in office, at least to Reid.

Reid’s insults toward Republican presidents have gotten worse since the Bush years. He’s referred to Trump as a “con man,” a “human leech,” and a “big fat guy.” He’s called Trump “amoral” and denies Trump’s humanity.

“I just have trouble accepting him as a person, so frankly I don’t see anything he’s doing right,” Reid told Bash.

Reid isn’t the first high-profile Democrat to miss Bush. At the beginning of this year, House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-NV) said she was nostalgic for the days of Bush.

She told USA Today in an interview at the time that she and Bush “had our differences of opinion, especially on the war in Iraq, but we had many areas of agreement and we were able to work together in respectful ways. (I had) respect for him and the job he held and he of Congress and our responsibilities.”

She also said working with Bush and Obama “started with a stipulation of fact,” which was not the case for Trump.

“With [Trump] we have to have a little more clarity about what the facts are,” Pelosi said.

Pelosi has previously called Bush a liar.

Democrats always praise the last Republican even when they treated that politician as a monster when he or she was in office. Democrats did the same thing after President George H.W. Bush and Sen. John McCain died. The politicians were praised as statesmen even though they were the devil when in office.
