Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson expressed solidarity with podcaster Joe Rogan, who is under fire from the Left for contradicting the mainstream narrative on COVID-19.

The host of “The Joe Rogan Experience” — one of the most popular podcasts in the world — recently welcomed scientists Dr. Peter McCullough and Dr. Robert Malone. Progressives and celebrities — including musician Neil Young — are attempting to censor Rogan by pressuring Spotify to sever its relationship with him.

In response, Rogan posted a video on his Instagram account rebutting charges that he spreads “misinformation” through his show — garnering the attention of actor Dwayne Johnson.

“Great stuff here brother. Perfectly articulated,” Johnson commented on Rogan’s post. “Look forward to coming on one day and breaking out the tequila with you.”

Indeed, support for Rogan has poured in from unlikely places.

“I’m triple vaxxed, but (unless they’re standing for hate or calling for violence) banning someone’s podcast is too much like burning a book to me. Joe Rogan should talk on his podcast about whatever he damn well pleases,” former Democratic presidential candidate Marianne Williamson said over the weekend on Twitter.

“I don’t mind that I disagree with him sometimes, enjoy long-form interviews with interesting people that not a lot of people do, am suspicious of motives for shutting him up, & am weirded out by how many people desire it,” CNN commentator Mary Katharine Ham added

“Joe Rogan is what he is. We in the media might want to spend more time thinking about why so many people trust him instead of us,” New York Times reporter Matthew Rosenberg said.

However, criticism of Rogan has also come from predictable sources.

“With respect, I don’t get this,” 1619 Project founder Nikole Hannah-Jones commented in response to Rosenberg. “We need to understand why millions of Americans don’t mind the open racism? It’s not a mystery. Been reporting on it for years. So, what do we do with that?”

“Last April, our co-founders began expressing concerns to our partners at Spotify about the all too real consequences of COVID-19 misinformation on its platform,” a spokesperson for Archewell — the foundation launched by Prince Harry and Megan Markle — said in a statement. “We have continued to express our concerns to Spotify to ensure changes to its platform are made to help address this public health crisis.”

The statement continued: “We look to Spotify to meet this moment and are committed to continuing our work together as it does.”

U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy said last week that Big Tech companies have a role in censoring so-called “misinformation” and curating “accurate” information for the public.

“What do you think are the best ways to push back on misinformation about COVID that continues to be aggressively pushed, whether it be Joe Rogan’s podcast or all over Facebook?” an MSNBC host asked Murthy, according to The Blaze.

“We can have the best science available, we can have the best public health expertise available. It won’t help people if they don’t have access to accurate information,” the Biden administration official said. “People have the right to make their own decisions, but they also have the right to have accurate information to make that decision with.”
