Former ‘Power Rangers’ Star Pleads Guilty To Manslaughter

   DailyWire.com

An actor who was once a children’s favorite for playing one of the Power Rangers in the children’s superhero television series pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter for stabbing his roommate to death with a sword.

Ricardo Medina, 38, admitted he killed Josh Sutter, 36, in 2015 by stabbing him after the two men had an argument over the way Medina’s girlfriend parked her car.

Investigators said Sutter forced his way into Medina’s room, prompting Medina to seize a sword and stab Sutter multiple times. Medina changed his approach, having first stated he acted in self-defense. According to KABC, Sutter’s autopsy showed he suffered ten wounds.

Medina played the Red Lion Wild Force Ranger in Power Rangers Wild Force from 2002 to 2003. He also played “Deker” in Power Rangers Samurai in 2011 and 2012.

Sutter and his sister, Rachel Kennedy, had sold rescued dogs at their home, calling the business Lucky Dogs. Rachel hired Medina to help them, paving the way for him to move in with them. But Kennedy said Medina began acting erratically soon after moving in, even saying he would release the dogs into the wild.
