The Republican National Committee (RNC) completely obliterated the Democratic National Committee (DNC) in June fundraising, a stark reminder of what a dumpster fire the Democrat Party is.
The RNC raked in a whopping $13.5 million in June — a record high — while the Democrats only raised a paltry $5.5 million. This puts the RNC at a total of $44.7 million cash on hand, while the Democrats only have $7.5 million on hand. Yes, you read that right.
Here’s a side-by-side comparison between the two:
To make matters worse for the Democrats, the DNC added an extra $200,000 to their debt, increasing their debt figure to $3.3 million. This comes after the Democrats spent gobs of money in recent special congressional elections and won none of them.
Here are a couple of quotes from RNC officials celebrating the generosity of their base: (H/T: The Hill)
“Because of the generous contributions, the RNC will continue to promote conservative values while bolstering our efforts to support, defend, and elect more Republicans,” McDaniel said in a statement.
“Month after month, the RNC continues to break fundraising records, another testament to the overwhelming support this Republican administration continues to receive from Alaska to Alabama,” RNC Finance Chairman Steve Wynn added. “It has never been more evident that Republicans are united towards a common goal of making this country great again.”
As it turns out, when your party doubles down on identity politics, installs a Hugo Chavez-esque figure to run the DNC, and constantly hypes impeachment, it becomes a lot harder to win and raise cash. Who knew?
