Remember the days when reporters didn’t just spout their opinions nonstop?
Well, Pepperidge Farm remembers — and so do we.
But that all appears to be in the rearview mirror. More and more “journalists” weigh in with their opinion on everything from President Trump’s hand size to first lady Melania Trump’s choice of footwear.
And one of the worst offenders is CNN’s Jim Acosta. He just can’t help himself when it comes to Trump — he really hates the guy and everything he does.
Take Tuesday, for example. Trump flew into Texas, making stops in Corpus Christi and Austin to be briefed on Hurricane Harvey by state and local officials. On his first stop, Trump offered some inspirational words for Texans battling the devastating storm.
The crowd there cheered throughout his impromptu comments — and roared when Trump held aloft a flag of Texas. At one point, the president acknowledged them, saying “What a crowd, what a turnout.”
That set off Acosta, who said on Twitter:
Other Twitterers let him have it.
What wasn’t evident in the mainstream media’s coverage was the huge turnouts that lined the streets all along Trump’s motorcade route.
And the Right Side Broadcasting Network posted this video of crowds cheering Trump.
Again, you won’t see that on the MSM — or Acosta’s Twitter feed.
UPDATE: Acosta doubled down on his bias on Wednesday, tweeting this out:
But, of course, had Trump visited a rescue center, the media would’ve savaged him. And the president plans to return on Saturday, when he’ll no doubt visit flood victims.
