American traitor-turned-transgender hero, Chelsea Manning, has apparently been banned from Canada, of all places.
In a Twitter post on Monday, Manning shared a document from the Canadian government denying him entry into the country.
The document states that Chelsea Manning is “inadmissible” to enter Canada “on grounds of serious criminality for having been convicted of offence outside Canada that, if committed in Canada, would constitute an offence under an Act of Parliament punishable by a maximum term of imprisonment of at least 10 years.”
Translation: There be no shelter here!
Manning has promised to challenge this “denial of entry,” and punctuated the Tweet with a “confused face” emoji, signaling that he couldn’t quite figure out why Canada would hand down such a decision.
Though the infamous trans hero is now warmly embraced by media elites, not all corners of society have welcomed his treasonous ways with open arms. Most jarringly, Harvard University, of all places, rescinded his invitation for fellowship.
Douglas Elmendorf, dean of Harvard’s Kennedy School, explained in a lenghty letter that he made a mistake.
“We invited Chelsea Manning because the Kennedy School’s longstanding approach to visiting speakers is to invite some people who have significantly influenced events in the world even if they do not share our values and even if their actions or words are abhorrent to some members of our community,” Elmendorf wrote.
“However, I now think that designating Chelsea Manning as a Visiting Fellow was a mistake, for which I accept responsibility.”
The mainstream media has been less cautious with their embrace of Manning; Vogue even gave her a profile back in August.
“It’s not like I’m living in fear or anything,” Manning told Vogue. “I’m so glad to be out and about and walking around.”
The soldiers who died thanks to Manning’s leaking of classified intel cannot say the same.
