Caitlyn Jenner For … Senate?

Olympic gold medalist-turned-reality star-turned-transgender advocate-turned-Senator Jenner?

Speaking to New York-based radio host John Catsimatidis, Caitlyn Jenner said he’s mulling over a run for the Senate.

“I have considered it. I like the political side of it,” Jenner told Catsimatidis.

The reality star has publicly identified as a Republican, and would presumably run as such.

Jenner’s currently unsure where he can make the biggest difference in the political world, whether as an outsider or an elected official.

“The political side of it has always been very intriguing to me,” he said. “Over the next six months or so, I gotta find out where I can do a better job. Can I do a better job from the outside? Kind of working the perimeter of the political scene, being open to talking to anybody? Or are you better from the inside, and we are in the process of determining that.”

“Yeah but I would look for a senatorial run,” Jenner declared.

The transgender advocate has flirted with the idea of a political run in the past, telling CNN’s Don Lemon that he would “seriously look at a run for office” and echoing the same sentiment during an interview with the BBC.

The star has made it clear that his biggest concern is for the transgender community and pushing transgender “rights” on the Republican Party.

Jenner revealed that he voted for President Donald Trump during the 2016 election, but scolded the president for undoing former President Barack Obama’s overreaching transgender edict which forced public schools to open locker-rooms and bathrooms to gender identity rather than biology at the threat of lawsuits and revoked funding.

“I have a message for President Trump from, well, one Republican to another,” said Jenner in a video directed at President Trump. “This is a disaster. And you can still fix it. You made a promise to protect the LGBTQ community. Call me.”

Last week, Jenner told the women of The View that he had a scheduled meeting with United States Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley to discuss worldwide transgender rights.

Jenner is not the only Hollywood star potentially getting in the political mix; actor and former WWE wrestler Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is reportedly gearing up for a 2020 White House bid and rock star Kid Rock (born Robert Ritchie) recently announced a senatorial run in his home state of Michigan.
