According to a report from Yahoo News, Olympic gold medalist-turned-reality star and transgender mouthpiece Caitlyn Jenner traveled to the White House on Thursday to meet with President Donald Trump staffers.
It remains unclear with whom Jenner met or what was the topic of discussion, though one might surmise the conversation was focused on transgender issues, based on past recent interviews. Jenner was also reportedly at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue to help promote his newly-released memoir, The Secrets of My Life.
Jenner, an open Republican and Trump voter, has been hitting the media circuit in anticipation of his book. Last week, Jenner appeared on Fox News’ Tucker Carlson Tonight, where he lamented the Trump Administration’s alleged moves to crack-down on “transgender rights” and explained there is “no big advantage” for biological males competing against biological females in athletics.
The motivational speaker also said during a recent 20/20 interview that Trump invited him “to come play golf with him” after the two saw each other at the inauguration, though Jenner said he turned down the president.
“This administration for me was extremely, extremely disappointing,” said Jenner. “Here’s the deal breaker with the Republican Party. And the deal breaker is, you mess with my community, I’m coming after you.”
It looks like the barriers of communication have since opened, just in time for Jenner’s new book release.
