Biden On Pandemic: ‘The People Who Are Getting Hurt Are Democrats,’ ‘Our Constituency’

Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden appeared to politicize the coronavirus pandemic during an interview on Tuesday night by claiming that “the people who are getting hurt are Democrats.”

“Look, the people who are getting hurt are Democrats,” Biden said. “Hard-working people. The people who can’t afford to stay home. The people who are getting clobbered. The people who are making an hourly wage. The people who are out there saving our lives, caring the country on their back and losing lives in the process of doing it.”

“They’re the people who are in trouble, a lot of millionaires aren’t in trouble, people making tens of millions of dollars or hundreds of thousands of dollars, they’re not in trouble,” Biden continued. “But the people who are trouble are the very people that are our constituency.”

Democrat-controlled New York is believed to be responsible for seeding most of the coronavirus outbreaks throughout the United States.

The New York Times reported:

New York City’s coronavirus outbreak grew so large by early March that the city became the primary source of new infections in the United States, new research reveals, as thousands of infected people traveled from the city and seeded outbreaks around the country.

The research indicates that a wave of infections swept from New York City through much of the country before the city began setting social distancing limits to stop the growth. That helped to fuel outbreaks in Louisiana, Texas, Arizona and as far away as the West Coast.

The findings are drawn from geneticists’ tracking signature mutations of the virus, travel histories of infected people and models of the outbreak by infectious disease experts.

Nathan Grubaugh, an epidemiologist at the Yale School of Public Health, told The New York Times, “We now have enough data to feel pretty confident that New York was the primary gateway for the rest of the country.”

New York’s disastrous handling of the coronavirus pandemic, led by Democrat Governor Andrew Cuomo, has led to the state having by far the most coronavirus cases and deaths in the country.

Biden’s suggestion that it is the “Democrats” who are suffering from the pandemic is not supported by any evidence as the coronavirus has killed Americans in every state across the country and does not discriminate against any political affiliation.

Biden is currently facing allegations that he sexually assaulted his former Senate staffer, Tara Reade, in 1993. The allegation’s credibility has been bolstered by a numerous pieces of contemporaneous evidence that have emerged since the allegation came to light in March, including a CNN video from 1993 of Reade’s mother describing a problem that her daughter was having with a “prominent senator” and numerous accounts from people she was close to at the time and neighbors.
