Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden seemed to indicate on Friday that he is open to becoming more extreme on climate change, specifically on the issue of “radical decarbonization.”
Biden made the indication in a response to a question from an audience member while campaigning at a town hall event in Hanover, New Hampshire.
“My concern is, right now, your climate plan doesn’t meet the demands of science,” the woman said. “Will you change your climate plan so that there is a radical decarbonization of our transportation, energy, and our food systems?”
“Absolutely, yes,” Biden responded, adding, “There’s not a single solitary plan that can end all – no more emissions in 10 years, there’s not one anyone’s introduced in the whole world, anywhere.”
Biden has tried to avoid going too deep on the issue of climate change as his senior adviser, Symone Sanders, “urged the DNC to vote down the debate, saying it would be ‘dangerous territory in the middle of a Democratic primary process,'” The Daily Caller reported.
The DNC responded by voting 17-8 against a resolution to “make climate change the top issue during the debate format, one day after” Democratic presidential candidate Jay Inslee dropped out of the race.
Biden’s campaign has been accused of not taking the climate issue seriously by far-left members of the Democratic Party, especially after he was caught plagiarizing his climate plan on his campaign’s website.
Biden now appears to be pandering to the far-left of the Democratic Party which includes the likes of socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), who has hysterically claimed for months that the world is going to end in 12 years.
Ocasio-Cortez, after being brutally mocked over her insane claims, later stated that she was only kidding about the world ending in 12 years, tweeting: “This is a technique of the GOP, to take dry humor + sarcasm literally and ‘fact check’ it. Like the ‘world ending in 12 years’ thing, you’d have to have the social intelligence of a sea sponge to think it’s literal. But the GOP is basically Dwight from The Office so who knows.”
