Avenatti Arrested. Donald Trump Jr. Tweets Something Hilarious.

By  Hank Berrien

On Monday, news broke that attorney Michael Avenatti, who represented porn star Stormy Daniels in her lawsuits targeting President Trump, was arrested for attempting to extort millions of dollars from Nike. Donald Trump Jr., who has also been a target of Avenatti’s frequent verbal vitriolic attacks, responded with a hilarious tweet and suggestion for Avenatti, asserting, “Good news for my friend @MichaelAvenatti, if you plead fast enough, you might just get to share a cell with Michael Cohen! #basta.”

Trump Jr. then added one more dig:

After a report surfaced last December that Trump Jr. had reportedly told friends that he was worried about being indicted, Avenatti gleefully tweeted, “.@DonaldJTrumpJr – this is what I predicted a long time ago as you know. I asked you to deny it but you never did. Is it true (asking for about 100 million friends)?”

The month before that, in November 2018, Avenatti, who had infamously attacked Justice Brett Kavanaugh for allegedly harassing women, protested against accusations that he had struck a woman after he was arrested for suspected felony domestic violence. He insisted:

I have never struck a woman. I never will strike a woman. I have been an advocate for women’s rights my entire career, and I’m going to continue to be an advocate. I am not going to be intimidated from stopping what I am doing. I am a father to two beautiful, smart daughters. I would never disrespect them by touching a woman inappropriately or striking a woman. I am looking forward to a full investigation at which point I am confident that I will be fully exonerated.”

Trump Jr. responded by highlighting a tweet that read, “.@MichaelAvenatti, when Brett Kavanaugh issued a similar denial about 35 year old allegations you presented with no evidence, you tried even harder to destroy his life. Your case is days old with a complaining victim displaying physical injuries. Let’s play by your rules.”

Last October, Avenatti decided he was the second coming of Nostradamus, predicting Trump Jr. would be indicted by the end of the year. He tweeted, “Donald Trump Jr. will be indicted before his birthday on 12-31-18. If you doubt my prediction, please check my record over the last 7 months. #Winning.”

Only days before that, Avenatti challenged Donald Trump Jr. to a mixed-martial arts fight, as reported by Dylan Byers, who tweeted, “I’m having lunch with Michael Avenatti @MichaelAvenatti at the Vanity Fair Summit and he’s proposing a three-round mixed-martial arts fight with Donald Trump Jr. @DonaldJTrumpJr for charity. No joke.”

Avenatti responded, “This would be for two great causes. I’m in.”

Just prior to that exchange, Trump Jr. had targeted Avenatti, linking him with news of former Congressmen Anthony Weiner being released from prison. He wrote, “Who else is excited about Avanetti/Weiner 2020?!? It’s gonna be Carlos Dangerous.”

Avenatti snapped, “Bif: If I were you, the last thing I would be doing is referencing other people getting out of federal prison. Because after you are indicted, you will likely be passing them on your way in. BTW, they don’t have silver spoons or gold toilets in the joint. Buckle up Buttercup.”
