Reality Winner, the former NSA contractor accused of leaking classified intelligence to the media, blamed Fox News for her actions when federal prosecutors interrogated her.
Prosecutors pressed Winner, 25, on why she allegedly stole classified material saying they thought she “just messed up,” according to a transcript filed by prosecutors in court Wednesday.
“I guess it’s just been hard at work because … I’ve filed formal complaints about them having Fox News on, you know?” Winner said. “At least, for God’s sake, put Al Jazeera on, or a slideshow with people’s pets. I’ve tried anything to get that changed.”
Winner, who called President Donald Trump a “piece of s**t,” is supposedly a strong supporter of numerous liberal media personalities, politicians, and causes including Bernie Sanders, Bill Maher, Michael Moore, the Women’s March, and the Islamic Society of North America.
However, she appears to have a favorite news personality: CNN’s Anderson Cooper.
“He is quite good-looking, so that is something you must contend with,” Winner said.
Winner’s nonsense didn’t stop with her assertion that Fox News was partly responsible for her actions — she also hates America because of capitalism and the environment.
“Look, I only say I hate America like 3 times a day,” Winner wrote in a Facebook chat with her sister, court records showed. “I’m no radical. It’s mostly just about Americans obsession with air conditioning.”
Winner’s sister didn’t think she was serious, seeking clarification. “But you don’t actually hate America, right?” she asked.
“I mean yeah I do it’s literally the worst thing to happen on the planet,” Winner replied. “We invented capitalism the downfall of the environment.”
