Lesbian Dating Application Features 325 Sexuality/Gender Possibilities

Finally, there’s a dating app "for LGBTQ women, by LGBTQ women" that gives users the option to select a sexuality and gender pairing from over 325 different combinations and counting!

The no-boys-allowed, international dating and social app HER offers their female-only users 13 different sexualities and 25 unique “gender identities” to choose from while searching for their bi, queer, curious, flexisexual, pansexual, two-spirit, kathoey, etc., soul mate. Plus, HER even provides their users the option to submit other “identities” and “sexualities” they have somehow missed.

HER users can choose from the following list to label their “sexuality,” as provided by Heat Street. (It’s unclear why “straight” is an option, since men are forbidden from the app...)

The dating app originally launched in 2013 in the UK but rebranded itself two years later to offer a more holistic gay experience.

"HER is about creating a space where lesbian, bi, queer, curious, flexisexual, pansexual and not-so-straight women can meet and find out what's going on in their lesbian world,” reads a statement from HER, promoting their re-launching in February of 2015.

According to the app's current homepage, HER is “[f]or dating, making friends, reading content, finding out about local events or just chatting away It's the biggest community for queer women worldwide."

The app even has its one lesbian news feed: “You know that new indie lesbian film? Now you will. It's all in HER's feed,” boasts HER.

And, of course, the fine people at HER are unsurprisingly political, frequently promoting “activism," like "sh*t ins," and posting political images poking fun at Republican nominee Donald Trump.

You can currently access the app in United States, Canada, Brazil, Japan, Australia, United Kingdom, South Africa, Mexico, Thailand, Germany and the Netherlands.
