So, another sex scene happened on "Game of Thrones" this past weekend. None of that is shocking. What was shocking is that involved actress Maisie Williams, whose character, Arya Stark, audiences were introduced to when she was just 11 years old.
According to Fox News, the big scene occurred between the now 22-year-old Williams and the character Gendry (played by 31-year-old Joe Dempsie). Arya, who is now 18 years old in the show, wants to lose her virginity prior to a major battle.
"We're probably going to die soon. I want to know what it's like before that happens," her character tells Gendry as she aggressively kisses him.
On Instagram, responding to the shock audiences expressed, actress Sophie Turner made a raunchy joke involving the Easter Bunny doing something rather NSFW.
"In honor of Easter, I guess Game of Thrones wanted the storyline to have a little Easter Bunny hop, hop, hoppin’ into that p---y, and that’s the tea," Turner said while sipping a glass of red wine in a video posted on her Instagram stories.
Speaking with Entertainment Weekly on Monday, Turner said she called Maisie Williams about the sex scene upon first reading it. "I called Maisie and was like: ‘Have you read it [the script] yet?’" she said. "And she’s like, ‘I’m midway through episode one.’ And I’m like: 'This scene, this page, read it! This is awesome!' She was very happy."
Of course, Turner is no stranger to making shocking statements. In March of this year, the actress revealed she experimented with women prior to her engagement to Joe Jonas.
"I think once you’ve found the right person, you just know," she said. "I feel like I’m much older a soul than I am in age. I feel like I’ve lived enough life to know. I’ve met enough guys to know — I’ve met enough girls to know. Everyone experiments … It’s part of growing up. I love a soul, not a gender."
During the 2016 election, when promoting the movie "X-Men Apocalypse" Sophie Turner also said that if she had superpowers, she'd physically remove Trump by force from the country.
"Oh, my God, I think the world needs fixing," Turner said. "Donald Trump would be out of the country. And we’d create a wall around him so he couldn’t escape."
"There are so many negative things happening," she added. "I would kind of restart the whole world and build a new one, Noah’s Ark-style."
Maisie Williams told the outlet that she did not believe the sex scene at first and thought it may have been a prank. "At first, I thought it was a prank," Williams said. "I was like, ‘Yo, good one.’ And [the showrunners were] like, ‘No, we haven’t done that this year.’ Oh f—k!"
"I got to the read-through and I’m reading the scene and thought, ‘Oh, we’re actually going to do this. When do I shoot this? I need to go to the gym.’ A whole list of things," Williams said of the moment she realized the scene was no joke.
