Former HP CEO Carly Fiorina slammed real estate mogul Donald Trump for his admitted affairs after a reporter tried to peddle the smear that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) had numerous mistresses.
On Monday, a reporter from the UK Daily Mail asked Cruz to "respond more definitively" to the National Enquirer's garbage story, and Fiorina pounced on that question to denounce Trump.
"This is an example of the media playing to Donald Trump's tune," Fiorina said. "Donald Trump is a serial philanderer, by his own admission. And in a week when we have had a terrorist attack in Brussels, a shooting at the Capitol, the president of the U.S. in the baseball stands with Raul Castro, and insisting he be photographed in front of a picture of Che Guevara with the two Castro brothers, we are talking about a scurrilous, ridiculous piece in the National Enquirer?"
Her response set off conspiracy theories from Trump supporters that this is evidence of some sort of Cruz-Fiorina cover-up. However, it's more likely that Fiorina doesn't like the Daily Mail unfairly going after Cruz, since they once did the same thing to her:

Fiorina's assertion on Trump is accurate, as his affair with Marla Maples while he was married to his first wife, Ivana Trump is well-known. Trump has also bragged about having sexual intercourse with married women:
“If I told the real stories of my experiences with women, often seemingly very happily married and important women, this book would be a guaranteed best-seller,” Trump wrote in his book “The Art of the Comeback.”
Trump also wrote in “Think Big and Kick Ass” that he’s been with married women: “Beautiful, famous, successful, married — I’ve had them all, secretly, the world’s biggest names.”
The Trump supporters occupying the dregs of the Internet will continue to push the fake Enquirer story yet ignore the numerous affairs which Trump has admitted.
