Before deleting a tweet from its Twitter profile highlighting what it claimed was Fidel Castro’s love of sports, ESPN received some pushback. Granting legitimacy to communist and socialist reverence of El Presidente, the tweet invited readers to consider perceptions of Castro as a “savior.”
While the tweet was promptly deleted, the video story remains published, touting Cuba as “one of the strongest sporting nations on the planet.”
ESPN is no stranger to using its sports platform as a vehicle through which to push leftism, with hosts promoting anti-American racial agitation groups such as "Black Lives Matter," mocking Tim Tebow's over Christianity and that of his fans, and granting Bruce/Caityln Jenner an award for courage by virtue of his openness about being transgendered.
