Along with murdering unborn children for a living, a Kenyan abortionist allegedly raped his patients and drank wine while performing the fatal procedures.
James Mugo Ndichu was reportedly caught illegally running an abortion mill in Kenya last week. Ndichu, though, is not in authorities' custody, but apparently on the run.
"We are looking for Mr Wairimu and we ask him to present himself to the police for questioning," said a Kenyan officer to Nairobi News, last week.
The Daily Nation reports:
A man who was charged three years ago with various offences linked to operating an illegal clinic and alleged rape of patients is a wanted man, again.
Instead of ending the practices that almost got him jailed, Mr James Mugo Ndichu alias Mugo wa Wairimu only moved his operations from Githurai 44 to Kayole, Eastlands.
It is in Kayole that his questionable medical practices have been exposed and now the Nairobi Flying Squad boss Musa Yego say they are hunting for him to answer to allegations raised against him, that he has been operating illegal abortion clinics.
According to Nairobi News, Wairimu was arrested three years ago for similiar alleged crimes, though he was never convicted. "Quack doctor James Mugo Ndichu, alias Mugo Wa Wairimu, was released two years ago after witnessed shied away from testifying in the case," claims a Nairobi News report.
In a video exposé on Wairium, which has shocked and enraged many Kenyans, the abortionist "conducts an interview for a new staff as a patient wails in the same room," reports The Daily Nation. "Then Mr Wairium tells the interviewee to remove a stuck swollen swab from the patient's body."
Another unsettling scene features Wairimu "giving a diagnosis seemingly drunk and then proceeds to demand Sh800 for drugs that cost only Sh40," reports LifeNews.
An even more disturbing scene showcases a woman recalling her experience of allegedly being raped by the abortionist after being given a sedative.
Abortion is only legal in Kenya when the life of the mother is at risk. Wairimu, according to Nairobi News, has a degree in nursing from the University of Nairobi and is not a registered doctor with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentist Board.
As noted by LifeNews, sex abuse happens here in the States, too, unfortunately: "Abortionists in New Jersey, Arizona, North Carolina, Michigan and Massachusetts also have been charged and/or convicted of sexual abuse, sometimes of their patients."
In California, for example, a man who sexually abused two of his daughters was never reported by Planned Parenthood for suspected abuse after he brought his youngest daughter to their facility to get two abortions in 2010. "Court documents indicated that the abortion facility did not report the suspected abuse of the 13-year-old girl to authorities. The girl said she did not tell clinic staff that her father had impregnated her, but instead made up a story about having a boyfriend her own age," says a LifeNews report.
"In another case in Arizona, officials said a Planned Parenthood center failed to provide the proper report to authorities about a victim of a young man accused of being a serial rapist. Planned Parenthood failed to report the rape, and the young man allegedly raped 18 or more teenage girls before he was caught, according to authorities," the report adds.
