Bill Cosby’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was vandalized with the words “serial rapist” written in black marker, Fox News reports.
The Los Angeles Police Department is reportedly unsure when the vandalism took place but was notified around 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The marker's residue has since been scrubbed off.
Following sexual assault allegations against Cosby from several women in 2014, “rapist” was also reportedly written on the star.
According to the Los Angeles Times, police are investigating the incident regarding the vandalism of the star that Cosby has had since 1977.
In April, Cosby a once-loved comedian and actor on “The Cosby Show,” was found guilty on three counts of aggravated indecent assault. The prosecutor, Kristen Feden, claimed he used his television persona “and cloaked himself so that he was able to gain the trust, gain the confidence of these young women so he could strip them of their ability to say no, administering an intoxicant the same way he administered an intoxicant to Andrea Constand."
Cosby is expected to be sentenced on September 24, the Los Angeles Times reports.
