On Wednesday, the Washington, D.C. branch of the U.S. District Court revealed that a grand jury has charged a man for threatening to murder Democratic Senators Bernie Sanders and Kamala Harris and threatening to harm gun control activists at the "March for Our Lives" rally in D.C. in March.

The five-count indictment, issued in April but not publicly revealed until Wednesday, charges the man with "two counts of threatening to assault or murder members of Congress and three counts of transmitting threats via interstate commerce," Politico reports.

Though the indictment does not provide many details of the accusations against him, it specifies that all of the alleged threats occurred on the day of the gun control rally, March 24.

Evidence suggest the man is a 19-year-old who was arrested in April for armed robbery and later charged for arson. Though his name has been revealed, The Daily Wire is withholding it per our policy regarding identifying those who would carry out acts of mass murder.

As Politico notes, the news of the indictment comes just under a year after a Bernie Sanders supporter opened fire at a Republican congressional baseball game practice, which resulted in the severe injury of House Majority Whip Steve Scalise and lobbyist Matt Mika, both of whom have since recovered.
