If it's Sunday morning, then President Trump is on a Twitter tear.
After an entire week of rain and vicious thunderstorms and dark ominous clouds, the sun burst out in the nation's capital on Sunday — but the sunshine didn't improve Trump's morning mood. Although he'll probably head to his nearby golf course in the hills of Virginia later today for a quick round of golf, the president took to Twitter early to vent.
"Things are really getting ridiculous," he wrote Sunday morning. "The Failing and Crooked (but not as Crooked as Hillary Clinton) @nytimes has done a long & boring story indicating that the World’s most expensive Witch Hunt has found nothing on Russia & me so now they are looking at the rest of the World!"
But Trump was just getting started.
"....At what point does this soon to be $20,000,000 Witch Hunt, composed of 13 Angry and Heavily Conflicted Democrats and two people who have worked for Obama for 8 years, STOP! They have found no Collussion with Russia, No Obstruction, but they aren’t looking at the corruption..." he wrote.
Sure, he still can't spell "collusion," but he makes a valid point — it has been more than a year and no one has found anything yet (if they had, it would have leaked in five seconds in this sieve-like city).
And Trump continued:
"...in the Hillary Clinton Campaign where she deleted 33,000 Emails, got $145,000,000 while Secretary of State, paid McCabes wife $700,000 (and got off the FBI hook along with Terry M) and so much more. Republicans and real Americans should start getting tough on this Scam."
"Terry M" is, of course, Terry McAuliffe, the former Virginia governor who has been a longtime Clinton friend and all-around fixer for the couple. And, of course, McAuliffe is planning to run for president in 2020 so he can get all the dirty Clintonistas back into power.
And Trump still wasn't done.
"Now that the Witch Hunt has given up on Russia and is looking at the rest of the World, they should easily be able to take it into the Mid-Term Elections where they can put some hurt on the Republican Party. Don’t worry about Dems FISA Abuse, missing Emails or Fraudulent Dossier!" he tweeted.
Once again, pretty spot on with this one. The Democrats always wanted to milk this cash cow for all it's worth, carrying the probe into the mid-term elections to sow doubt in voters' minds. And with the help of the mainstream media, it looks like they'll do just that.
Then Trump played on oldie but goody.
"What ever happened to the Server, at the center of so much Corruption, that the Democratic National Committee REFUSED to hand over to the hard charging (except in the case of Democrats) FBI? They broke into homes & offices early in the morning, but were afraid to take the Server?"
Yeah, that server has always been a weird point. Why didn't the FBI just take it? How could the DNC simply refuse to hand it over? And seriously, what about those 33,000 emails that disappeared? And come to think of it, what about...?!
Let's hope Trump can take a break from all his worry if he heads out to the golf course. 'Cuz witch hunts and 6-irons just don't mix.
