WATCH: Hilarious Jada Pinkett Smith Parody Video Asks Why #NBASoBlack

Gavin McInnes, contributor for The Rebel, just poked fun at the “Oscars so white” crowd with a hilarious parody of the viral Jada Pinkett Smith video.

The video by Pinkett Smith launched a call to boycott the Oscars because of the supposed underrepresentation of the 2016 nominees selected by the Academy. Al Sharpton, Michael Moore, Will Smith and others have already joined the cause.

McInnes starts in, saying, “Today’s Detlef Schrempf’s birthday,” mimicking the original video posted on the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr.

The screen then pans to a shot of the 2016 U.S. Men’s Olympic Team. “When I look at those faces, I can’t help but ask the question: Is it time that people without color recognize that how much power, influence, that we have amassed, that we no longer need to ask to be invited anywhere?” asks the funny man with all the lengthy Jada-pauses and the same soft-spoken tone as the actress.

Among the litany of other rhetorical questions, McInnes asks if it’s time that white people start pooling their “recourses” to “make basketball for ourselves.” Pinkett Smith seemingly suggests that blacks self-segregate their entertainment in her call to boycott the Oscars.

McInnes ends with wishing the Olympic Basketball team “nothing but the best, nothing but love…nothing but love baby. Peace.”
