Outspoken leftist and "Grey's Anatomy" star Ellen Pompeo challenged Fox News host Laura Ingraham, whom she referred to as a "b****", to a physical fight on Friday.
"Someone tell this b**** to meet me outside," wrote Pompeo, referring to Ingraham, via Twitter. "Im [sic] so not in the mood for playing nice or polite this week."
The actress was reacting to a video clip, which she quote-tweeted, of Ingraham suggesting NBA star LeBron James quit the political activism and "shut up and dribble" — a reference to her 15-year-old book titled "Shut Up & Sing."
Pompeo continued the taunting, mentioning that her "gloves are off."
"Not to mention our poor kids today dont [sic] know if they will make it to 12 th grade ...because they are in danger of being mudered [sic] before that," she added.
Ingraham was accused of "racism" by fellow NBA star Kevin Durant and a chorus of left-wing writers for her comments about James. As reported by The Daily Wire, Ingraham pushed-back on such an accusation Friday night.
"Almost all the stories accused me of 'dog-whistle' commentary and many claimed that my line that LeBron should 'shut up and dribble' was 'racist,'" said the Fox host. "Uh, what?"
I've "been using variants of that title ("Shut Up & Sing") to call out celebrities for 15 years, without regard for skin color, where you came from, what you do," Ingraham explained.
After rattling off numerous examples of this, including people of all races, she concluded: "I'm an equal opportunity critic when it comes to left-wing celebrities sounding off on topics of which they know precious little, and as you can see, race has nothing to do with it."
But when have facts ever got in the way of a good leftist narrative, or threats of violence, for that matter?
