The reviews are in, and the experts have a definitive ranking: President Trump is, objectively, the worst president of all time. According to a survey of “presidential politics experts” from the supremely non-partisan New York Times (yes, that’s sarcasm), President Barack Obama is now a top-ten president, President Andrew Jackson is now ranked at number 15, and President Trump is dead last. After one year. Of a booming economy, no major foreign policy blunders, and serious cuts to regulation.

But don’t worry. These people are experts.

According to the Times:

James Buchanan, who was at the helm as the United States careened into civil war, was dislodged from his position as our nation’s worst president by our current president, Trump.

So, who else moved? Bill Clinton dropped from #8 to #13, because Leftists apparently realized that Clinton treated women abominably (well done, historians, for catching up on material everyone knew 20 years ago); JFK dropped two slots, probably for the same reason; Obama jumped 10 slots, because hey, he’s been out of office for at least a year, so we can forget that he was garbage at his job; George W. Bush moved up five slots because his name isn’t Donald Trump; Ulysses S. Grant jumped seven slots because no reason.

Trump doesn’t get much help from Republican scholars, who rank him fifth from the bottom, ahead of just Andrew Johnson (impeached), Franklin Pierce (just before Buchanan), William Henry Harrison (died after 40 days), and Buchanan himself.

The rankings are absurd on every level. Somehow, Jimmy Carter ranks above Calvin Coolidge. Somehow, Woodrow Wilson — one of the worst presidents in American history, and an open racist — nearly cracks the top 10, after being in the top ten in 2014.

All of which shows that these experts aren’t experts, and they aren’t non-partisan. Even some on the Left, like Nate Silver, admit this:

But don’t worry — the study will be cited everywhere as proof that everyone knows Trump is the worst, just as everyone knows that Obama is the best.
