Warning: Hollywood profanity.
Actor Rob Lowe is none too happy with a Twitter post by fellow actor Bella Thorne.
On Wednesday, the 20-year-old former Disney Channel actress tweeted: "Fuck u 101 to santa barbra. I’m missing my boyfriends first date on his tour: "Fuck u 101 to santa barbra. I'm missing my boyfriends first date on his tour:((( — bella thorne (@bellathorne) January 11, 2018."
The reason the roads are closed: Massive mudslides that left 17 people, ages 3 to 89, confirmed dead, and at least eight still missing. The search for survivors in the the coastal town of Montecito is getting desperate, with hope waning that the missing will be found alive.
"In disaster circumstances there have been many miraculous stories lasting many days and we certainly are searching for a miracle right now," Santa Barbara County Sheriff Bill Brown said on Thursday, according to Fox News.
Lowe took to Instagram on Thursday to rip Thorne for her selfish post. “This attitude is why people hate celebrities/Hollywood. Bella, I’m sorry you were inconvenienced. We will try to move out our dead quicker,” Lowe posted.
Thorne has since deleted her post and written this:
Some of Thorne's followers slammed her on Twitter.
"I'm so sorry that you’ve been inconvenienced by the 17 people that have lost their lives. This must be tough for you," said one, according to The Metro. "Santa Barbra apologizes for the inconvenience, next time we’ll plan our natural disasters according to your social schedule," said another.
Said a third: "I’m sure all of the people who died from the mudslides are very concerned with your irritation of missing your boyfriend’s concert. It’s not like there’s a different route you can take when you’re dead."
Others were more harsh.
"W.T. Pfefferle" was downright brutal.
And for those of you keeping score at home, Thorne's boyfriend is Mod Sun, a rapper from Minnesota who’s apparently in a group called “The Poundzzzzzz." His name is an acronym that stands for “Movement on Dreams, Stand Under None,” according to Betches.com.
