Suspect Says Taylor Swift Told Him To Kill A Man

According to court documents, an Oregon stabbing suspect told officers that pop star Taylor Swift, whom he said was his wife, "told me to kill him."

Brent Shannon Thicksten, 43, is accused of stabbing a man with a pair of scissors in Downtown Portland on Sunday. Witnesses described Thicksten as acting menacingly toward locals, reports Local12/WKRC-TV. "The victim said he feared for his safety and started running away, which is when Thicksten allegedly chased him."

The 43-year-old allegedly caught up to the victim and caused cuts to his lower back, though the victim did not need to seek medical care at a hospital.

Taylor Swift "told me to kill him," said Thicksten to officers on scene, according to a probable cause affidavit. The suspect said Ms. Swift was his wife.

"When asked where his wife was, officers said that Thicksten replied 'we are one.' Based on officer reports, he later stopped answering questions and said he had 'top secret clearance,'" reports the local news station.

Thicksten, who violated his parole for a previous guilty plea to third-degree robbery, has been arrested and booked at Multnomah County Jail for assault, trespassing, menacing, and unlawful use of a weapon. Thicksten's bail is set at $277,500.
