Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin just got all "mama grizzly" on her daughter Bristol’s ex-fiancé, Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyers.
Palin blasted Meyers for seeking custody and child-support for baby Sailor Grace, born last month, questioning where the sudden demands were coming from since, according to Palin, for "many months" Meyers "wanted nothing to do with either Bristol’s pregnancy or the baby."
Bristol Palin and Meyers, who seemed like the perfect pair early on, crashed and burned last summer. The couple quietly called off their wedding one week before the ceremony was set to take place on Memorial Weekend. Rumors surfaced soon after that Meyer was possibly married previously and the divorce was never finalized.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the former governor didn’t hold back her criticism of her almost-was son-in-law.
"For many months we have been trying to reach out to Dakota Myers [sic] and he has wanted nothing to do with either Bristol's pregnancy or the baby," said Palin.
Palin added that this was simply an attempt by Meyers to "save face."
Bristol Palin's rep David Martin also slammed Meyers, saying, "My values are such that a real American hero doesn't ask for child support."
