During the 2016 campaign, President Trump vowed to bring an end to the Left's "War on Christmas," lamenting about storefronts' preference to wish Americans an empty "Happy Holidays."
“You go to stores, you don’t see the word Christmas,” Trump said. “It says ‘happy holidays’ all over. I say, ‘Where’s Christmas?’ I tell my wife, ‘Don’t go to those stores.’ . . . I want to see Christmas.”
Following his election, Trump quickly made good on his promise during his "Thank You USA" tour by regularly appearing before signs that read "Merry Christmas" while promising to make the holiday great again. One year later, Trump is making good on his promise.
According to WaPo, the Trump family Christmas card will indeed say the words "MERRY CHRISTMAS" on it, departing from his predecessor's penchant for using "Seasons Greetings" or "Happy Holidays."
"Gone were the 'Season’s Greetings' that the Obama family placed on their Christmas cards," reported WaPo. "The Trump family’s official Christmas card reads: 'Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.'"
Circulating photos of the Christmas card reveal a color scheme of red, green, and, of course, Trump's beloved gold. The official hashtag: #WHChristmas.
Contrast this year's Christmas card with Obama's from previous years:
First Lady Melania Trump has also joined the "Make Christmas Great Again" bandwagon with this year's White House decoration choices. Reportedly involved in "every detail," the First Lady's overarching theme for the most wonderful time of the year is "classic Christmas decor."
From WaPo: "The first lady made a Hollywood entrance into the holiday press preview, gliding down the Grand Staircase from the private quarters onto the state floor as ballerinas finished dancing to 'The Nutcracker Suite' played by the Marine Band. Dressed in an off-white dress and glittering gold stilettos, she posed in front of trees laden with snow, icicles and glass nutcrackers, a tribute to the White House’s 1961 'Nutcracker' Christmas theme."
The decorations also included a Nativity set with the baby Jesus in line with previous administrations, including Obama. This video does the First Lady's design tastes justice:
President Trump's Christmas version of his MAGA hat has also gone on sale. It too says the words "Merry Christmas" across the back. Twitter users have been blasting it ever since its release earlier this month:
