The sexual harassment scandal against Harvey Weinstein expanded to the U.K. on Wednesday as London officials are now investigating new claims against the Hollywood producer.

London’s Metropolitan Police force said that detectives from their sexual offenses team are investigating a sexual harassment allegation against Weinstein after a police force in northwest England notified them of the claim earlier this week, the Associated Press reported.

Merseyside Police, who did not identify the accuser or the suspects, said the call they received was on “an alleged sexual assault in the London area in the 1980s.”

“British media including Sky News, The Guardian and the BBC identified the alleged assaulter as Weinstein,” the AP added.

The investigation of Weinstein's alleged actions by British authorities comes as the FBI and New York police announced they are now looking into his alleged sexual allegations, The Guardian reported.

The allegations against Weinstein have opened a Pandora’s box of Hollywood hypocrisy and sexually perverse behavior.

Actor and director Rob Schneider said that the revelations about Weinstein are just the “the tip of the iceberg.” Schneider, who claims he was sexually harassed by a male director when he was younger, said that nearly every actress in Hollywood has a sexual harassment story.

New York police are trying to locate any potential victims of Weinstein’s behavior and have underscored that they are taking these allegations seriously.

“He’s a super predator. His conduct shows he’s been at this a long time, and he’s a professional at it,” a police official told the New York Post. “He’s been at this so long, there’s no way there are not other victims out there. Imagine how many promises he’s made to these young women who were trying to make it into the industry.”
