WONDERFUL: Fans Petition 'Wonder Woman' To Be Bi-Sexual In The Sequel

"Diana has been in love and had relationships with other women."

A feminist action hero with super powers, predictably, was not enough to satisfy the sensitivities of SJW snowflakes; now they demand that the iconic hero be made bi-sexual.

In hopes that Diana Prince will swing both ways for the 2019 sequel, a Change.org petition has launched to nudge Warner Bros. into an even more leftward direction.

Gianna Collier-Pitts, a 2017 campus ambassador for GLAAD at New York University, launched the petition, arguing that “representation is power" and that the LGBTQ desperately needs such representation.

“Some of you may be thinking that this specificity doesn’t make a difference,” she wrote. “But for people like me who rarely see themselves reflected in media, believe me. It does.”

The petition comes just one year after Wonder Woman comic writer Greg Rucka confirmed that Diana was bisexual. As noted by HuffPo, the admission should not surprise anyone and actually taps into the comic character's roots more than any other, since her creator had an open three-way affair between his wife and another woman. The bizarre relationship that allegedly inspired the character will be the focus of an Oscar-bait film Professor Marston and the Wonder Women, out later this year.

Rucka told Comicosity about how Diana's female-only island of Themyscira is a lesbian paradise: “It’s supposed to be paradise. You’re supposed to be able to live happily. You’re supposed to be able — in a context where one can live happily, and part of what an individual needs for that happiness is to have a partner — to have a fulfilling, romantic and sexual relationship. And the only options are women.”

He continued: “Now, are we saying Diana has been in love and had relationships with other women? The answer is obviously yes.”

Citing Rucka's comments, Collier-Pitts asks: “Why is it so hard to translate this for the silver screen?”

“We are oversexualized and underrepresented,” she wrote. “We are called greedy, dishonest, and confused. Making Wonder Woman canonically bisexual on the big screen would make her the first openly LGBTQ superhero of any gender from either DC or Marvel’s cinematic universes, and would solidify her place as a true role model for women of all ages and identities.”

The petition has garnered 1,332 signatures with a goal of 1,500.
