So, Fox News host Tucker Carlson interviewed a "real witch" Tuesday night about the different kinds of hocus pocus she and her coven have been cooking up to "bind" President Trump from committing actual harm. The result was sort of like an episode of The Hills crossed with Bewitched; Carlson as Larry Tate and the witch as Heidi Montag.
Spells and hexes against President Trump have become a major thing among the witches since the 2016 election, who view Trump as a threat to big witchy agendas like child sacrif– I mean, "reproductive rights". The spells typically involve witches chanting to some demi-spirit while passing around items like "orange candles, tarot cards, rope, and feathers." The orange candles apparently serve as a representation of President Trump (ho, ho).
Calling herself the "Oracle of Los Angeles," Amanda Yates Garcia says she's a real witch and that she has a message for President Trump: stop the agenda or face the hex of her coven. During his interview with Garcia, Tucker began with a cheeky question on the legality of summoning forces against people.
"Is this legal? Can you run around and cast spells? Are you allowed to cast spells on people? Is there any federal regulation of this?" Carlson half-jokingly asked.
Keeping an innocent voice, Garcia said the the spells were a "symbolic action" intended to "galvanize people who resist," and not meant to bring any harm upon the President. Christians and Jews would strongly disagree, as doctrine according to both the Torah and New Testament states that all witchcraft comes from demonic forces.
Carlson stepped his cheeky tone up to 11 when he asked if Shakespeare was indeed correct when he included a "eye of newt" as a witch's ingredient during his play Macbeth.
"Since you are the only witch — I have interviewed a lot of people, but I've never interviewed a witch — sincere question: Is eye of newt an actual ingredient?"
Garcia kept a straight face and tried to steer the conversation towards something more serious.
"I think the real problem is not whether or not eye of newt is an actual ingredient,” Garcia said. “The real problem is we’re about to have some kind of big nuclear extravaganza with North Korea. The real problem is that we’re punishing immigrant children. The real problem is that we’re causing students to go into deep debt. I don’t think the real problem is whether or not we use eye of newt.”
There also exists an official Facebook group for witches to share their spells against President Trump. Christian and Jewish leaders have routinely called on the faithful to pray for Trump's spiritual protection, since all witchcraft flows from demonic sources.
