It Turns Out One Confederate Statue Vandal Is A Pro-North Korea Marxist

“I did the right thing"

To the surprise of no one familiar with the radical left, a vandal who helped topple a Confederate statue in Durham, NC, this week is actually a pro-North Korea Marxist whose ultimate goal is abolishing capitalism.

The communist vandal is North Carolina Central University student Taqiyah Thompson, who after being arrested Tuesday equated police with Confederate soldiers and Ku Klux Klan members.

“I did the right thing,” she said. “Everyone who was there — the people did the right thing. The people will continue to keep making the right choices until every Confederate statue is gone, until white supremacy is gone. That statue is where it belongs. It needs to be in the garbage.”

Speaking of garbage, Thompson is apparently a big fan of Kim Jong-un, the lunatic dictator of North Korea. As a member of the Workers World Party (WWP), she supports a Marxist-Leninist worldview and defends the oppressive North Korean regime as being a victim of U.S. imperialism.

The WWP's website claims to have committed the vandalism to show “solidarity” with local anti-racist factions.

Video of the monument's destruction showed Thompson tying a noose around the statue's neck that her comrades used to pull it from its base.

North Korea is considered by every legitimate human rights group as one of the worst and most oppressive regimes in the world. According to CNN though, people like Taqiyah Thompson pose no threat to us, and we should only focus our efforts on fighting neo-Nazis.

This is a funny story, but it's not half as funny as the vandals who targeted a statue that just so happened to have been a peace statue, not a Confederate one.
