On Thursday, an unhinged Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) took to Twitter to call on President Donald Trump to resign over his mean comments about Morning Joe host Mika Brzezinski.
Earlier in the day, the president inexplicably thought it would be a good idea to overshadow the progress on crucial immigration legislation with mean tweets about talk show hosts. Trump fired off two tweets in which he claimed he recently saw "low I.Q. Crazy Mika" at Mar-a-Lago bleeding from her face due to a face-lift; for good measure, the POTUS also dubbed her co-host and fiancé Joe Scarborough "Psycho Joe."
The tweets were Classic Trump, and terribly unhelpful.
Along with a slew of other insane reactions from her colleagues and friends in the mainstream media, Rep. Jackson Lee become unhinged over the tweets, calling for Trump to step down from office and accusing him of sexism and attacking the mentally ill with this "Psycho Joe" remark.
(But if we can't count on the Left for an over-reaction and some grandstanding, what can we count on them for? Bad policy and fear mongering, I suppose.)
"There's a sense of hurt feelings," started Jackson Lee. "Mr. President, bleeding from the face? You're again attacking women, professional women? You're calling someone a psycho with all of the individuals fighting for their lives, suffering from mental health needs? You're attacking a woman, a professional woman, about her IQ?"
"I've gone through, as a member of the Judiciary Committee, impeachments. But we can't wait that long. It is time for you to resign," she continued. "Enough is enough. I love America. I love these people, and we need a commander in chief."
Welp, guess it's over. It's been real, Trump, but you heard the lady!
