San Bernardino: CNN, HuffPo, MSNBC Rush to Connect Shooting to Planned Parenthood (UPDATED)

As news breaks about a mass shooting in San Bernardino, California, left-wing media outlets rushed to connect unfolding events with Planned Parenthood to reinforce their political narratives. A Planned Parenthood center is located 1.3 miles away from the place of the shooting.

The Huffington Post reported, “A Planned Parenthood official told The Huffington Post that the shooting was two blocks away from one of its facilities, but said that there’s no indication that Planned Parenthood was targeted. A shooter targeted a Planned Parenthood clinic last week in Colorado, killing three.”

The outlet’s senior politics editor chastised CNN for not emphasizing the proximity of the shooting the nearest Planned Parenthood location.

An MSNBC reporter quickly pointed out that all was well at the nearest Planned Parenthood.

CNN reported that a Planned Parenthood location was “around the corner” from the shooting. Kremlin-run RT joined the left-wing news outlets in reporting the same.

President Barack Obama commented on events while the murderers were still at large, speaking with CBS's Norah O'Donnell. He said, "We have a pattern now of mass shootings in this country that has no parallel anywhere else in the world." Obama then spoke of "common sense gun safety laws", and seemingly connected teightening restrictions on access to firearms to the threat of terrorism.
