Despite President Trump’s unwillingness to mention Russia by name in his latest remarks on Tuesday’s deadly chemical weapons attack in Syria, U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, used her platform at Wednesday’s U.N. Security Council meeting to condemn Russia for its unflinching support of the genocidal Assad regime.
Staring Russia’s acting U.N. ambassador dead in the eyes, Haley asked “How many more children have to die before Russia cares?”
“The United States sees yesterday’s attack as a disgrace at the highest level and assurance that humanity means nothing to the Syrian government,” she affirmed.
At one point, Haley even got up from her seat and held up images of Syrian children suffocating to death from sarin gas exposure.
“Men, women, the elderly, and children gasping for their very last breath,” she stated. “And as first responders, doctors, and nurses rushed to help the victims, a second round of bombs rained down. They died in the same slow, horrendous manner as the civilians they were trying to save.”
